One form of development pattern that can be carried out by the private sector is in the form of a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program. A CSR program is an action or concept of activities carried out by a company in accordance with the company's capabilities and competencies as a form of responsibility in building and improving the quality of social/environmental life. Examples of responsibilities that can be carried out include activities that can improve the quality of community welfare, improve the quality of the environment, provide scholarships for underprivileged children and high-achieving children, provide financial assistance for the maintenance of public facilities, donations for villages/community facilities that are social and useful for the community.
CSR activities for RSU Surya Husadha are not just fulfillment of obligations to the laws and regulations that apply to the company, but are a moral commitment to work together involving all components of the hospital including employees. The community, partner companies, and the surrounding environment. This is in line with the mission of RSU Surya Husadha, namely to contribute to the community in efforts to improve health through community programs.
This CSR also coincides with the series of events for the 33rd Anniversary of the Surya Husadha Group. This activity takes the theme "We Care, We Share". The theme shows that Surya Husadha Group, in this case represented by the involvement of all directors, employees and partner companies of RSU Surya Husadha, not only cares about the environment and the surrounding community, but also always shares benefits with the community in order to create superior public health quality.
The activities carried out on Friday, December 20, 2019 included free health check-ups by general practitioners and specialists (Internal Medicine, Eyes, ENT, and Children), examinations by dentists, mini MCU examinations (blood sugar, uric acid, cholesterol), and distribution of free glasses. The activity took place from 07.00 WITA to 11.30 WITA, taking place at the Ex. ALFA Denpasar Parking Lot, Jalan Diponegoro, Sanglah, Denpasar.
The participants in the CSR activity numbered 389 people who were residents of Sanglah and Sesetan, with ages ranging from toddlers to the elderly. Local residents were very enthusiastic about participating in the CSR activity seeing the number of participants who were involved and supported this event until it was finished.
Surya Husadha Group also expresses its gratitude for the willingness of all parties involved in this event. Thank you to the Head of Dauh Puri Kelod Village, Mr. Nengah Suartha and his staff for their willingness to attend and witness the activity until the end. We also express our gratitude to the specialist doctors who helped with this activity; dr. Nyoman Sunerti, Sp. M, dr. I Wayan Nuarsa, Sp. ENT, dr. Luh Putu Primi Atmikasari, Sp. A, and dr. I Wayan Darya, Sp. PD, and to the dentists, dr. A. A. Istri Neny Kencanawati, drg. M. Taha, drg. Krisna Darma for their participation and dedication during the activity. Thank you also to all the committee and employees of Surya Husadha Group who have helped with this activity. Hopefully, with the routine CSR activities carried out by Surya Husadha Group, it can help improve the quality of health of the surrounding community in particular, and the Balinese community in general.
